Race 2, Sorel: Summer Mountain Bike Series 2006

Sorel Point was the venue for the second race, the early morning fog cleared to reveal the dry, hard and dusty course around the various fields and steep hill sides. Adam Wojtkiewicz has chosen to move into the elite category, a move that was justified as he lead the race from start to finish building an impressive margin over second placed Ian Lelai, and lapping all but the first 10 riders.

Bruce Dingle was again 3 rd overall and 1 st veteran closely followed by younger brother Pete. The sport class saw Jim Connolly take the honours but other riders making a return were 3 rd Damian Maher, 5 th Richard Surcouf and 7 th   Jon Coote, these will be eager to improve during the remaining races. Caroline Davies took another win in the ladies. Mark Knowlton took the super vets while son Rikki was winner in the Schoolboy class.
