This was the first ever event at this venue and it proved very popular with riders and spectators. The large grass field allowed plenty of room for the start line without crowding. A downhill slope into a gentle rise then it was over the hedge into the woods. The young riders mastered the technical sections very well, many showing a big improvement in skill and control. Ben Le Rougetel continued with his winning streak in the 5 and under class, with brother tom gaining third place behind Thomas Pollard The largest class of the day was the 6 & 7 year olds. Sammy Kermin led from the start but it was the Pollard sisters who surprised many boys with their fast starts. As the race settled into a pattern the boys gradually took up the front places. Jack Claydon climbed up the leader board each lap and finished third behind Samuel Maher and race winner Sammy Kermin. The older two classes were combined once again. Younger class winner Harry Garnham chased Stefan Kermin hard throughout the race, but Kermin held on for the win. Nikkita Connan had her best race to date taking 2 nd in the older class with James Le Cornu third. 8 & 9 year olds showed good pace and determination by giving the older riders a hard race. Matthew Rayson followed Garnham home and Michael Milner was third. 5 riders from this class were in the top 6 positions. The next race is Sunday 4 th February at Val de la Mare, St Ouen.
