Cæsarean Cycling Club

CCC Spring Series 2002, Race 1 (10 laps), 2 May 2002

A fine and sunny evening greeted the islands cyclists at their first evening race, at Les Quennevais on Thursday. The handicapped race was held over ten laps. Three separate groups started at one minute intervals. The first group containing veterans and ladies, organised themselves well under the leadership of the vastly experienced Caesarean rider Allan Miller, to stay away until lap eight. By then the second and third groups were already together.

In the final two laps Caesarean riders Alistair Cann and Steve Greig managed to break away, to take first and second place respectfully. James Garrett taking the bunch sprint from first veteran Tony Richomme. The first lady was Sue Munns and first Junior Richard Tanguy.
