JCA 50 mile Time Trial, 3 July 2005

Despite the warm weather, light winds and the prospect of championship medals, the turn out for this year’s Jersey Cycling Association’s 50 mile Time Trial was small. However on the day it was Vince Peron who produced the ride of the day coming in over 3 minutes up on his nearest rival. Having had a short break from racing, his form is returning as some of the major races on the calendar are approaching. The next three places were filled by Steve King, Kevin Mahony and Andy Kemp, all regulars in the top part of the results of a time trial.

With veterans outnumbering seniors the interest was in the age related ‘Veterans on Standard’ positions. This produced a win for Allan Miller with a very creditable performance from Bill Buist in second place.
