The Jersey Cycling Association 2012

The Jersey Cycling Association (JCA) is the governing body of cycle racing in Jersey. This is the body that sets the selection criteria and teams for the Island Games and the Commonwealth Games. It is made up of a secretary, a treasurer, two delegates from eligible member bodies in the Island with the president and vice-president rotating between member bodies on a two-year term of office. Currently Velo Sport Jersey and the Caesarean Cycling Club are the only members.

The Education, Sport and Culture Committee, the government department responsible for sport, do not deal with individual sporting clubs within the Island. All sporting matters are dealt with through representative bodies who are elected to represent their respective sports. The JCA performs this role.

The Committee elected at the AGM is as follows.

President: Martin Hebdon
Vice-President: Chris Spence - replaced by Steve Lowthorpe in March 2012

In addition to the current kit of your club, it is acceptable to wear previous versions of your club kit. In JCA time trials, riders must wear either their club kit or a plain kit with no trade or commercial markings. Helmets must be worn in all events."
