There were over 1,000 participants on the start line of the second Mazovia MTB marathon. Competitors were racing over three distances. The most important and popular one was Giga distance, the first event. It was also the first Polish MTB Cup Marathon.
It was a fast and technically difficult course so extremely challenging for all its participants. After the start all competitors were riding all together until the route was split for two: Mega and Giga - the latter being the most challenging one. From this moment there was a bunch of 100 riders, trying to break from the rest.
All spectators for sure were not bored. One of the cyclists lost his saddle on the way, but despite of this he crossed finish line in fourth place. Some others crossed the finish line running as their bikes were damaged during the race. But as they said; the most important thing for them was to finish. The first and seond placed cyclists came from the professional Halls team. Adam Wojtkiewicz, who was racing in the CCC jersey, took overall 5th, with 2h34min55 in the Masters Category.
