The event, sponsored by Rubis, is over the weekend of 22nd/23rd/24th/25th May comprising the following: |
Now that Easter's events are over, you need to turn your attention to the next local Series. Whilst the focus is on the RUBiS Jersey Town Criterium, there are four days of events including a hill climb, time trial and road racing. All events will be run on a category basis, so local riders will be competative whatever your level. It's a experience not to be missed - it's twelve years since the Island Games' town Criterium so it could be a long time before you get another opportunity to ride on closed roads in front of bike fans.
22nd - Hill Climb (Location TBC Shortly)
23rd - Time Trial (La Pulente - L'Etacq - La Pulente)
24th - BC Town Centre Criteriums & Local Rider Events + 10-14 Yrs Kids Race (Paperboys & Girls Race - sponsored by the JEP)
25th - BC Road Races @ WaterSplash (55k 2nd/3rd/4th Cat and also a 90K Elite/1st/2nd Cat)
All details including race start times and sign-on times are on www.jerseytowncrit.com
Important Informtion:
1. That riders must register for the British Cycling & Criterium events online at www.jerseytowncrit.com i.e The 2/3/4 Cat, Elite/1/2 Cat, the 55k and 90k road races.
2. That we are looking for as many kids between 10-14 Years of age to ride the JEP's Paperboys and Girls event - there is no entry fee for this race and we expect it will be 2-3 laps of the 1mile circuit. All of the Criteriums start at the Town Hall as per the full race schedules on the website.
3. That in addition to the 2 BC Sanctioned events, there is also a Ladies, Vets and Juniors Scratch Race that does not require a BC License.
All payments for the Criteriums are online or by cheque payable to 'Velo Sport Jersey Town Criterium Project'.
