Hello Mr. Wright, (October 2006)
It is with pleasure that I am writing to you. The CCC website has brought a flood of very distant memories back to me.I found it purely by chance. My name is Dennis J. hunt and I had the pleasure of riding with CCC from 1950 to 1953 and at that time I set the Junior record for the 25mile T.T. at 1hr.7min.31sec, I think that time is right, if you still have records that go back that far you may be able to find it.

I rode a the same time as Wally and Pam, in factI was Pamelas' boy friend for a while, I knew her parents well,in fact her Dad tried to teach me to drive the delivery van he used for his grocery store deliveries.

As you can see by my address I live in the USA, having left Jersey in the Mid-1950's and have lived here ever since.

I cannot remember too many names of club members but I purchased my cycle from Frank Machon who had a bike store (this was before he moved it to St.Helier. other names I recall are Peter Aspinall, John Richardson and Les Hunt (no relation). My career with CCC would probably continued but in January 1951 my father died and that took away much of my youth (I was 16 at the time) so I lost interest in just about everything for some time after the loss.

They were such happy days and I have from time to time thought about my friends in CCC. Whether anyone is left who still remembers me I don't know,perhaps they will recall I Played harmonica at a Club talent show once (once was enough for them I think). There is so much I could say but the memory is getting a little weak.
