On 23 April 2010, the Jersey Cycle Association Youth Academy signed a unique and exciting three year sponsorship deal with Moore Group. The JCAYA is aimed at young cyclists on Jersey, who want to improve their bike skills and take part in a range of on and off road competitions.

From 23 April 2010, the CCC children's section transferred to the Jersey Cycling Assocation Youth Academy and events after this date will be organised by this new body. Below and in these pages are results and details of children's events dating back to 2001.

There are many events organised specifically for children and we have a large junior membership. In 2001 we formed an under 12s' section with their own programmes of events. In 2008 we extended the age limit to 14 years by introducing a 12-14 age-group.

For the younger bike enthusiasts aged fourteen and under, there are regular series of events. Age groups divide the classes and this ensures close and interesting competition, but the emphasis is always on enjoyment, and there is nothing better then getting covered in mud with Mum’s permission. There are some School Boy riders who started their cycling days in the under twelve series, who now compete very successfully on senior courses against older and more experienced riders in both local and UK competitions.

If you'd like to know more you'll find a list of friendly people here who are keen to help.
